    Capture video using component cables
I'm looking to convert stuff from DVD and Wii to Imovie on my Mac and was wondering if there is an affordable component compatible option out there.

I already have the dac-200 from datavideo but its only got s-video and composite input and the thing isnt very good

    Many thanks.

Not only is there no "afforadable" way to do this, there is currently no cable, box, or anything else that will enable you to get video from any device via component onto a computer.

The industry has effectively shut this down. I think all the manufacturers are afraid of the probable law suits should they create a device that would allow you to even watch an external HD program on your computer.

Regarding DVD's, just get an internal or external DVD player for your Mac if you don't have one already.

In the Windows world, most everything folks don't understand is called a virus.
