    video too large for Facebook
    Hey guys heres the situation, i made a video at school, and i saved it on to a cd and i want to put it on my macbook. i saved the video onto my laptop, its mov. format btw, and its exactly 5.22 minutes long, however, its 2gb, now the issue with that is 1. i want to put it on facebook because the video is of friends, and 2. its too big, facebook accepts approx. 1002 mb i believe... i could be wrong, anyways if anyone can help me i think i need to convert it and compress it, sorry im a newbie, just please help meeee.. thank you

    I need help
    hi, i copied a video i made onto a cd at school, brought it home and put it on my macbook, its mov. format and i want to put it on facebook which accepts mp4. format, now this is the problem. 1. its 2gbs, which is too big, and 2. facebook only accepts approx. 1000 mb, i believe, now i think i need to change the format and compress it? im not sure can anyone help?

    You are going to have to do some kind of video conversion and compression to get the size down. The quality is going to suffer substantially in this process, which is unfortunate. Need to make sacrifices for smaller files sizes I guess.

    I'd use iMovie and the QuickTime export option if non of the standard ones work for you. See my iMovie Export Guide for some information.
