I have MacBook but didn't upgrade it so its got a DVD writer. I've created a menu and put all the photos in on iDVD and the file is on my desktop. I'm just wondering if i can transfer that file to my other mac and burn it from there or aren't the photos actually on the file. Does the DVD need to be burnt on the computer all the pictures are?

Use the "Save as Disc Image..." to create a disk image and transfer that. Then try burning it using Disk Utility in the Applications/Utilities folder.

I've never done the disk image trick before can you do that in iDVD?

The other option you have is to start your mac book up in target disk mode (while your mac book is off plug it into (via FireWire) your other computer. Hold down "T" as you start your mac book. This will allow you to access your mac book like an external. Navagate to the file, launch, and burn.
