    Sort video files by duration
Finder will display the duration of,say, mp4, files but I cannot find any way of sorting by this value. I cal sort by filesize but this is not ideal as it does not take account of resolution. Google has let me down thus far. Any suggestions?

HI Patrick. That's what I searched on. I know how to display the file duration, it's the sorting bit that's proving impossible. Going through many of the search results it looks as though it used to be possible to sort by duration but that metadata is no longer available to Finder sort. Another Apple 'improvement' maybe.

One option is to add "comments" with the specs you require, then sort by comments. You could make your own description codes.

I did see it and tried creating a folder called Movies. It doesn't work the options in the post do not appear.
