RESOLVED...thanks.I don't know what happened but only the right earbud will work now. If I move the cord close to the insert of the iPod it works if I hold it a certain way. Any ideas? I might just buy a new pair anyway...

    Specs:
    iMac late 2007 10.11.b4, iMac 2008 10.10.5, Macbook2007 10.7.5, Mac Mini 10.7.5, iPhone 3GS Note 8!!
I am pretty sure what happened was when you were running, somehow the cord was yanked and it broke a wire to that one channel. If you bend it around it makes connection. Try another set of phones to be sure that it's the wire and not the jack on the iPod. I am betting on the cable.
