I just switched to Mac and so I consolidated my iTunes library in Windows then moved it to MacintoshHD:User:Music in Mac so iTunes naturally recognized my media and uploaded it. Now the question is, whenever I add new albums to my iTunes in Mac, rather than adding the files into the iTunes Music folder (MacintoshHD:user:Music:iTunes), it adds it to an Automatcally created folder called Various Artists ( located in: MacintoshHD:user:Music).

Why does it to this? Isnt it suppose to add it to the iTunes Music folder itself?

Note: I have the option checked in Advanced setting for adding the files automatically to iTunes folder when I add something.

Any idea?

I dont have an idea of why it is doing that, but what i would do is select the default itunes folder option (wherever it defaults too, i cannot remember) and move/copy all your music to a temporary folder on the desktop. Then delete all the music from the old folder it is in now, and from itunes. make sure "keep itunes folder organized" and "copy music..." are checked in itunes preferences, then lastly drag the folder itself into itunes and let the files add. This should work and will now keep the folder organized...

Oops nevermind, my bad. I set my path to MacintoshHD:User:Music rather than MacintoshHD:User:Music:iTunes.

Thanks anyway
