I manually put a few songs on my ipod from a friends mac. I want to now upload these songs onto my library. I know I have to change it to manual, but how? When I plug my ipod in it will update it(delete the songs) before I can go change it to manual. Right?

How did you synch it with your friends library? If it was manual, the iPod should still be in Manual Sync mode.

You can also do a search at iLounge.

grrr, thanks for the link. its a good one. Unfortunatly, itunes wont allow me to drag and drop the songs into my library. And the solution he gives, xpod, is not working. I guess I'll keep trying. thanks!

Make sure your iTunes is set for that iPod to be synced manually. In other words, turn of Auto Sync for that iPod in Tunes.
