Hey,

I got that apple Video Out Adapter and hook the macbook up to my TV so i can watch movies. I have to mirror the displays so that Front Row will show up on the 2nd display as well. I was wondering if there was any way to turn off the display of the macbook while it is mirroring the image to your TV, thanks in advance

You don't have to mirror the display to get front row to show up on the 2nd screen.

Just hit the layout button in the displays system preference and you should see both of your screens.

Make sure the 'mirror' checkbox is unchecked and drag the little menu bar in the icon of your first display into the 2nd display's icon.

Now when you activate front row, it should only show up on the external screen.

Alternatively you can just dim the internal screen on the macbook. (Hold F1)
