Comparing iExplorer 3.X to iMazing 2 is a no brainer as far as I'm concerned. The latest version of iMazing 2 is easier to use and as I stated above, more convenient. However, I received iMazing for free during a promotional thing they had around 5 months ago. I then was notified of an upgrade to iMazing 2 for $19.99, which I purchased. A license for iMazing is $40.00 while a license for iExplorer 4 is the same price - $40.00.

Well, thanks again! If iExplorer wants $40 again, I see no choice but to switch over to iMazing - will await the response from the former's website - Dave

Well, not expected, i.e. I was given a 'free registration code' to iExplorer v. 4.x - first quote below my email sent to Macroplant Support - second quote, a response from Josh the next day providing me a 'free' code - installed the newest version and the code indeed activated the app - since I was given use on two computers will also install on my iMac. In September 2015, I purchased the 2-pack iExplorer for mac OS (Order ID: MPLNT150909-4639-24822) - since then my Mac computers & iPads have been upgraded to the operating systems above - obviously I need to upgrade iExplorer to your 4.x version - I expect to pay 'something' but do I not receive any discount for owning the previously version - seems like I've thrown away $50 - please advise. Hi David,

iExplorer 4 uses a different registration code than iExplorer 3 since itís an all new, major version of the software that includes support for iOS 10 as well as many other enhancements such as an improved UI and faster performance. Your purchase did not include an upgrade to the next major version, but since we really appreciate you choosing iExplorer and recommending it to anyone, I will make an exception and give you a complimentary upgrade to iExplorer 4. Hereís a new code you can use to register it and unlock everything:

Good one Dave! I think though that I will just stick with iMazing 2 since it does everything I need. It also seems easier to use than iExplorer although I have no idea what the new version is like. If need be, I can still use my iExplorer 3.

Hi Chscag - a surprising but welcomed email - I've not used the app that much but will look at the new interface & features - already installed on two computers. Thanks again for your help. Dave
