iPod Classic 160gb vs iPod 20gb
So I just picked up a used iPod Classic 160GB along with a MacBook. Basically got it for free. It won't sync or restore or really do anything besides turn on. I've read a lot of post about this from MANY different people with the same problems. I also have my old black and white screen 20gb iPod I believe 4th generation, first with the click wheel, that I must have bought 8 years old and still works great. So why is it that the new one is worst then the original ones? Apple needs to fix this.

Try holding the center and menu at the same time then after it re-boots see if you can restore to factory in iTunes.
