I have a new iPod Touch that I got about a month ago. Recently it's started just stopping at random times. In the middle of a song, it just dies. I look at it, and it's completely forgotten what song it was on or even what playlist it was in, just back to some previous random spot. Sometimes I'll turn it on, and instead of being in the music window, it's back at the main screen. The one day I was trying to use it wirelessly for Safari, it did similar things, dropping back to the main menu for no reason (at no urging of my own).
I just did a restore to factory settings and software, but I'm concerned that there's a hardware issue. Has anyone had similar issues? Did you have to return it, or did a software restore work? Is a certain version of the software buggy?
