What cable have you bought? I think you'll need the Apple Composite AV Cable... seems to be the one that works with everything.

Do you have an iPod Classic then? How many GB?

The classics, new nano, iPhone, & iPod touch only send video thru the dock connector. If it plugs in the headphone jack that was for the 5th gen iPod video. You need this cable...

no go

Hello. I have this same issue, but i HAVE and have had, these correct cables. I actually used this things several times. Maybe 7 or times in last 6 months. Now all of a sudden it doesn't play video. I have tried, just for the heck of it, to set the tv out to ON as well as to ASK, with no luck.

Any thoughts out there? Been driving me nuts!

Please :)

Thanks

i have a off brand cable that came with my video camera. it's the headphone jack to 3 rca plugs, red, white, yellow. i plugged it in thinking it would work but nothing. after researching online i found a post somewhere that said to switch the red and yellow rca's meaning put the yellow rca plug in the red slot and the red in the yellow. works perfect. i have the 5th generation 30gb and 3rd gen nano and they both work this way. hope this helps.
im using this on my sony lcd tv.
