I have to give up my aux jack, but I'm keeping my home button for now.
I can only comment from personal experience, naturally, but when I got the X, I very quickly became acquainted with the swipe gestures and realised that the Home Button was more of a nuisance than a help and took up valuable space. Space that was given over to increasing the screen size without significantly increasing the overall physical size of the phone.

Moreover, the Home Button, being a physical device is subject to wear and tear especially as it's used constantly.

As for the aux jack, the X comes with a tiny adaptor which allows you to use the jack in the same way as before. No big deal there.

Again, some complained about the "notch" at the top of the phone. I never notice it now.

But as I said, personal view only

If you mean XR body = XR frame, yes; both front and back is glass for all 2018 iPhones.

The XR has 3 GB memory, while the XS and XS Max comes with 4 GB. Storage wise the XR maxes out at 256 GB, the XSs at 512 GB. Maybe Apple is getting ready to release its VR headset that had been patented, dated back to 2008. The 4 GB memory and 512 GB of storage will be handy for the VR headset.

XR has single camera lens with the same specs as the XSs, but the XSs have two in the back. The front camera specs are identical on all models...

Regardless of the specs, all models are expensive. As much as I hate to say it, at this price range, I rather get an Android phone no matter how much I dislike that platform...

Just a personal view, obviously, but if I wanted to carry a brick around I'd buy a brick.
Experience teaches you to recognise a mistake when you make it again.

EDIT: The XR doesn't support 3D Touch; but then again, how many really used it and how many will miss it?

Agree on the Xr if those are the options.

On the 3D Touch, it's odd that they decided to kill it on the Xr, since the current LCD based iPhones have it and while I never used it much, it's an odd way of differentiating the Xr from the Xs/Max

Actually I wonder how many users actually knew it was there, and of those, how many actually knew how or managed to use it properly — if the app in use actually supported it.

The only people I know who used it were some iOS geeks. And it sure didn't seem to be supported by many developers.

Not exactly one of Apple's better iOS implementations I'd suggest.

Easy… for myself, my wife and all those that don't even need or maybe use one.

My old Samsung flip dumbphone suits me just fine and didn't cost me anything and is super cheap to run. And oh yes, it can hold a charge for weeks. Try that on a super pricy expensive iPhone!!! or most other expensive smartphones.

@Patrick If you're going to start letting a little thing like logic dictate whether new gizmos are purchased, the world's economy is in deep trouble. lol.

I take it then... that you haven't been pricing the latest Galaxy series of phones from Samsung?

Sorry Sly, but that's just the way my brain works.

I also can't see the point of wasting my money just to be in vogue.
