    Factory Restore
If I do a Factory restore do I lose all my text messages?

My Mother recently passed away and we exchanged some nice texts before she did and I'd like to keep them. I have done some screen shots and stuff, but it was kinda nice just to flip back and look at them. Is there anyway to keep them?

Before restoring your iPhone, backup everything to your Mac or to iCloud. Also, you might want to use a utility that can print out those text messages (instead of screen shots) so that you can keep them separate.

I use a program called PhoneView that extracts everything -- text messages, voice mails, etc. -- from your iPhone.

Here's a link. It shows the application is $29.95 but it often shows up in bundles from MacHeist and MacUpdate for much less.
