When I first turned it on it wouldn't turn on. I thought I got it wet and I put it in a bag of rice for a couple of days. Now it turns on but it doesn't have any sound and it keeps coming up with this accessory is not optimized for this iphone. What should I do?

Have you powered it off and back on?

Have you tried a reset?

Have you tried a restore in iTunes?

It sounds like it "thinks" it is connected to a dock of some sort. This could be a short on the logic board, or it could be something as simple as dirt inside the dock connector slot. Try cleaning it with a soft bristle toothbrush if Bob's suggestions don't work out.
