iPhone 3Gs "Charging not Supported" error when not plugged in, please help!
    Hey guys,

My girlfriends non-jailbroken iPhone 3Gs is displaying a full-screen image that says "Charging is not supported with this accessory". THe weird thing is that it is not plugged into anything.

I read on a forum that you can delete a daemon file and that should fix an issue similar to this one. Any suggestions?

    Thanks,

    Specs:
    15" MBP, Core i7/2GHz, 8GB RAM, 480GB Crucial M500 SSD
Hmmm... sounds more like a bent pin or something wedged in the 30-pin connector at the bottom of the unit. Did you give that a very close inspection?
Liquid and computers don't mix. It might seem simple, but we see an incredible amount of people post here about spills. Keep drinks and other liquids away from your expensive electronics!

I guess it is now doing a bunch of other weird things. She tells me that the home button is not working very well, that it closes texts in the process of her typing the text, and voice command come on when she is not even holding the phone.

She says that to her knowledge it has not been wet, and all these issues have come up today.

    Thanks for any help guys!

My question stated above still stands.

What cwa said, plus a guess that a recent localized application of gravity could be playing a role here.

My Iphone 4 started selecting random keystrokes after freezing going so far as to call people and almost buy a song and even an App once. They ended up replaceing it on warranty.

I had a similar problem with my iPhone 3gs when it got spilled with water. After i dried it and cleaned 30 pins contacts it started to work normally again.
