Unhappy New iPhone 4 battery issue
I just bought a brand new iPhone 4 on Tuesday from Virgin Mobile and updated it with the latest software (I think it's iOS 4.3.3?) and have notice that the battery is terrible, it's probably worst then my really old iPhone 3G. I have 3G turn off pretty much all the the time, I turned off ping and EQ. I only have push for Facebook and eBay. I only have location on for Facebook, maps and compass and my brightness. I only have 1 email account added and I have fetch data manually. My battery is at 80% right now with 9 hours standby (on airplane mode) and 1hr 35min of usage, it's that normal for an iPhone 4?

I also close all apps on multitasking and rarely have apps running in the background.

Oh and I've also tried restoring the phone but it hasn't helped.

    Specs:
    15" MBP '06 2.33 C2D 4GB 10.7; 13" MBA '11 1.8 i7 4GB 10.10; 21" iMac '13 2.9 i5 8GB 10.10; 5s & 5c
So that would equate to 8 hrs usage and 45 hrs standby until it hits zero. I'd say that's about right.

    Standard iPhone 4 battery?
Last night it was*on 1% for 10hrs usage and 15hrs standby, so I fully chargered it over night and it was on 100% but now it's on 97% with 20mins usage and 2hrs standby (airplane mode) and that's with only a few push notifacations, brightness way down, no apps running and multitasking. Do that seem about right? Am I over reacting or is this a normal iPhone 4 battery?

    Maximum Battery Life1
iPhone 4 offers up to 7 hours of talk time on 3G, 14 hours of talk time on 2G (GSM model only), 6 hours of Internet use on 3G, 10 hours of Internet use on Wi-Fi, 10 hours of video playback, or 40 hours of audio playback on a full charge at original capacity. In addition, iPhone 4 features up to 300 hours of standby time.

    1. All battery claims depend on network configuration and many other factors; actual results will vary. Rechargeable batteries have a limited number of charge cycles and may eventually need to be replaced by an Apple service provider. See www.apple.com/batteries for more information. For more details of iPhone performance tests for talk time, standby time, Internet use over 3G, Internet use over Wi-Fi, video playback, and audio playback, see www.apple.com/iphone/battery.html.
