    Learning Swift Programming
    Hi all,

First post in a very long time.

I wish to start developing iOS apps out of interest with a long-term intent of trying to create some extra income. Can anybody recommend some good resources (books, websites, other forums) that will help me to learning the Swift Programming language and everything else required for iOS App development. I am an electronic engineer, but I have programmed before in C, C++ and Java. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks.

There are numerous places for Swift books and tutorials, but Ray Wenderlich and his team have been focusing a lot on Swift recently with a lot of articles and books. I've used his teams tutorials in the past to get up to speed on a few things. The only thing about his tutorials (at least in the past) is that they are primarily gaming related. If you are trying to build a non-gaming app, then you can use the basics they teach you and go from there..

Thanks for the reply, yes I came across his name while researching. I was thinking of starting out with some games, really simple stuff. Just micro projects at first to get a grip on it.
