I purchased the LF app and I'm running it on an SE. The screen is too small for editing so I'm planning to buy either a new iphone 8+ or X or a new ipad pro. I'm using a friends DSLR for recording video but would like to option to make some with the phone.

If I buy the iphone is the size going to be a challenge to edit videos? The advantage of the iphone is I can use it to film and there are lots of cool gadgets for making films. The ipad is much larger and would be much easier to edit video. The downside is not being able to use cool gadgets for filming!

Anyone with experience editing on either of the two iphones I mentioned at the top? Are you finding yourself wishing you had an ipad?
I will keep the SE for daily communications, the new device will be for video...
    Thanks

I think that you're concerned about the camera availability of the current crop of iPad Pro models? The cool gadgets you refer to should be available for the iPad Pro as well as the iPhone models. Believe me, editing video on an iPad Pro is going to be a lot easier on the eyes than any iPhone.

In any event, you probably should wait to see what the new iPhones will look like when they're released this September or a bit later. Apple will supposedly release a 6.5" model that rivals the 8+ screen. There is also rumor about a subsequent iPhone X model that is larger.

    chscag,
Thanks for the advice. I'm going to wait until June to see what is announced at the developer conference, and yes I wanted to see if there would be an upgrade to the ipad camera and chip. I'm leaning more in the ipad direction now because of the size of the screen. These old eyes aren't what they used to be!
