    Looking for a Scanner App
    Hi together,

as my title says, I am currently looking for a Scanner App for my iPhone.

I would like to use the camera in order to scan documents and save them as a .pdf. It should be very easy and convenient to use.

Do you have any suggestions for me?

    Thanks.

I have used JotNot (free) a few times, worked well for what I needed.

I've used Scanner Pro (mentioned above, currently on sale) and Genius Scan+ and ABBYY BCR (for scanning business cards). All three have worked well.

Thanks for the suggestions so far.

Regarding GeniusScan, I have to buy the full version to be able to upload anything, right?

Regarding, ScannerPro, it seems to be a nice App, but I dont want to spend money on an App (poor student ).

And Im not that much of a techie. So an App that takes the scan automatically and does all the work, cutting borders, etc. - that would be perfect for me. I know that ScannerPro seems to provide some of these functions, but still a bit too complicated.

Or even scanning my documents, while I have them in my hand.

If you can afford an iPhone, you can afford half-a-cup-of-coffee's worth of money for a high-quality app.

    Valid point.

I just wanted to ask, if there is such thing as a free alternative. I would even test a rather unknown app, maybe someone has heard of an "underground" one, unlike the leading products.

It will not matter to a big company if I, as a single person, will use it, but maybe I can help a smaller company which has a similar app.

Nearly all iPhone app developers are just 1-2 people, so it's a funny distinction to make. One should want to reward the best app for the job, I would think, regardless of who made it (short of Halliburton or some other boycott-worthy company, I suppose).

    Fair enough.

But I found an App by chance which meets my requirements. Actually, the App does all the work for me. No chance to bungle it.

Cool! Always happy to learn about new options! Highly-rated, no in-app purchase nonsense -- looks great!
