    Specs:
    iMac 21.5" 3.06 GHz Intel Core i3 500 Gb HD OS X 10.10.4; iPad Mini iOS 8.4.1;iPhone 4s iOS 8.4.1;
    British OS maps
    The Ordnance Survey website came up with following:

    1:50,000 @ £25
    1:25,000 @ £50

    Both are rather quaintly described as 'out of stock'. I await a response to my e-mail to OS querying this.

    Meanwhile does anybody know of an app approaching the quality of OS and in the same style?

    Specs:
    27" iMac i7 (2011) 10.10, iPhone6, iPad Air 2, AppleTV2
    There's:
    OS MapFinder
    Outdoors Great Britain
    Viewranger

    Three good places to start
    External hard disk acquisition addict - but admitting the problem is the first step to a robust backup

    Many thanks. I've just spoken to a friend who has OS Map finder. I'm surprised that OS allow it as a free download.

    Free app download doesn't mean free maps . . . . The maps are in-app purchases.

    I'd look at Viewranger first. That can use free Open Maps and has OS in app purchases
