I work at a university as an Assistant Professor and I am constantly running (and flying) about.

I still haven't settled on the best way to keep my article collection.

I am looking for an app where I can annotate PDF/Word files, preferably with handwriting (typing is cool too), and open that file on a PC and Mac.

I want to sit in a plane, read a PDF on an iPad, take notes on it, get to the office and open that PDF on a PC and see my notes again.

Does this exist?
