I just upgraded to IOS 5 and went to looked at my VoiceMails and found everything gone!

Then I restored to previous back-up and still gone.

I take it these are gone forever? Is there a way to get them back?

I don't understand why they would even do this... everything else was saved, but not my voice mail?

You could look on Time Machine if a back up was done prior to upgrade.

I backed up to a PC. I'm a recent Mac owner, but my iPhone is synced to a PC.

Restored to a previous date and nothing.

I'm wondering, by what right does Apple think it has, that it went ahead and deleted personal information?! Voice Mails are simple audio files, nothing more, they should have been retrievable on restore. They should have been left alone.

SHAMEFULL! They know better.

You might be able to retrieve them from your provider.

Got 'em back!!!!

For some reason, my Windows PC didn't immediately register todays back-up, so I went ahead and restored from October 19th. This did NOT restore my Voice-Mails.

Just now I checked again, and found the back-up for today (the 26th) and did a restore again, this time my VM's came back!

Other thoughts, now that I have an MBA, maybe I should switch to this machine as "home-base" instead of the Windows PC.
