    Specs:
    MacBook Pro 2.2 i7 + MacBook 2.2 Duo 2 (late 2007) + ATV2 + T/C-2Tb + iPhone4 + iPad2 (64gb wifi)
    iOS 5
Can someone, in layman's terms, explain what ISO 5 is?

From the searches on this forum and indeed the Apple website, i am only able to conclude that it is just a update for the iphone and ipad.

    Is this correct?

    Thanks in advance

    J

Uhh..the iOS 5 developer betas have been out for a while now and there are numerous sites that have all sorts of information about what's coming along with iOS 5..those are hardly hype..the only thing that isn't nailed down is release date and since the developer betas haven't gone GM yet, there's still time..

Igor say iP5 in October, so I'd imagine iOS5 will be just before or after that. I wonder if it will run on a 3GS?

On a website showing ip5 leaks and stuff, they had a setup for new phone releases handed to the managers etc of the stores of telus. the iphone 5 is showing as Oct 1. im hoping! IOS 5 will be ready to rock at that time too. I am in line for a IP5 as I paid off my IP4 contract to move to a better one suited for the heavy use my phone gets since moving to apple from bb and droid.

Given that Apple has announced a press conference called "Let's Talk iPhone" on October 4th, an October 1st launch day seems REALLY REALLY unlikely.

Saw mention of iOS 5 being released September 30th, 2011 at 1:00pm Eastern time (10:00am Western time). Does anyone know if there is any weight behind this or if it's just blabber from someone. They said it was announce by Apple, but I can't find anything on it. I would post in the rumors and reports section, but I don't have a news article about it, and I don't want to post where I saw this from because it contains a video about iPhone workings that I don't think the staff would appreciate being made easily accessible. I'd love to know if this could be true or not. If nobody answers, I suppose we'll just find out soon enough.

PS - I'm disappointed that they didn't at least add folders like the jailbreak app "InfiniFolders". With everything having an app these days, you end up having screens of folders instead of icons, and I don't like having more than one page.
