    iphone 4 error 13019
I have seen older threads on this error but I am now in a desperate situation. I have been getting the error 13019 whenever I attempt to sync. Following earlier advice I have removed all music, voice memos, podcasts, photos, audio books and finally all my apps from the iphone but to no avail. And even worse I can't get them back to my iphone. I have an iphone 4 with version 4.3.1. Please can somebody help!!

Have you tried forcing it into DFU mode then restoring?

This is how to achieve DFU mode. You can do it on every iPhone:

Attach the phone to the computer

    Turn the phone off

Hold power and home together for *exactly* 10 seconds

Release power but keep holding home until iTunes shows the device is recognized.

At no point will the display come on.

    Now your restore should work.

    Hope this helps

Pretty sure the # 1 hit on your little 'Let me google that for you' link describes getting into DFU mode exactly as Buzzard outlined above.

Using quotations as you did to describe something real makes no sense. The proper way to say that would have been to just simply say; let me google that for you, not with quotations as if to insinuate that it is childish or a stupid trick or fictitious bs. I take no offense to your comment although i know it was intended. I was simply pointing out that if the error was such a big deal, maybe he should google it instead of waiting for a response. Do you own an iphone?

You are the one that decided on your 2nd post in the forum to call out another member.

If you felt the solution provided was wrong, you simply could have provided the correct solution.

That would have been much better than a lmgtfy link (which btw, anyone can do) and which only affirmed that he was indeed correct as to what you said he was wrong about.

Whether or not I own an iPhone is irrelevant related to calling out another member and being called out for it yourself.

i wasnt calling anyone out, simply pointing out the ease of fixing the situation, and yes you not having an iphone does make a difference in this matter. Had you read that first article in which you are so sure explains DFU mode correctly, you might have noticed that this method only works if your not a) not jailbroken and b)doing a restore through Itunes. If your phone for some circumstance bricks itself and you just need it to reboot out side of itunes, a simple entry and exit into DFU mode might be a simple fix for some users to get their phone to at least turn on. While this is one of the ways to do it in a very specific situation it does you no good if your not wanting to restore. Of course I'm sure you knew this. Just because I have 8 posts and am a new member doesn't mean i don't know what I'm talking about. good day

To be fair if he a) has jailbroken his phone then fair enough, and in my opinion jailbreaking is completely over-rated and causes so many problems for so many users that anyone doing it should expect problems along the way, and B) i'm pretty sure I said in my explanation of DFU mode the following "Have you tried forcing it into DFU mode then restoring?"

Also I think this is going a little off topic now and i'm sure the OP just wants an answer to his question and not a debate about who has and hasn't got an iPhone!

Thanks for all the input folks. I had overlooked using restore in iTunes and that seems to have got everything back but without the error msg. I just have to file my apps back in folders again and I will back to normal. Thanks again

No problem at all, glad it's sorted out for you now!
I remember how annoying those error messages used to be, and i'm sure i'll remember all too well when I get my new iPhone
