Ok so I downloaded an app called WiFi sync...DO NOT DO THIS !!! after it did not work and it took me about thirty minutes to remove it from my mbp , it still shows up on my iphone. It does not show up in the regular "checked apps" list but is on the diplay of the phone and cannot be deleted thus far. I went to MAC HD/users/xxx/music/itunes/mobile apps. and it does not even show up there. But it is most defiantly still on my phone!!!! Any ideas on how to get rid of this thing? It's kinda like the apps come on the phone like "ipod" you can't just delete it ya know?

I take it this is an APP on a Jailbroken iPhone and not from the iTunes store. If so, from my very limited experience with Jailbreaking and noncooperative APPs (unless someone supplies a better answer) you may have to resync your iPhone to original. Then, re-jailbreak if desired.

If it is in fact an app from Cydia, you'll need to use it to remove the app. You can not remove them the same way you would an app from the App Store.

here's the problem, based on some people's limited knowledge of jailbreaking, I do not feel that you can assess the wifi-sync app badly. There are many different factors that play into cydia apps, that do not come into play in the "app store". First of all, cydia is a user operated business, so not all cydia downloads are meant for all firmwares. if you remember this and look before you download you can avoid significant hassle with these "bad apps" not working. Second, download something called cydelete from cydia, it allows you to press/delete cydia installed apps as you would ones from the itunes store without the need to run cydia.
