    Grocery list
My family is having trouble keeping up a grocery list. We write things down on a list on the fridge, but sometimes that list is forgotten. We all have iPhones, and I was wondering if there was a simple way for the person at the grocery store to grab the list that is say a text file.

is there some way to do that with a Time Capsule; have the iphone get that file remotely?

I'd really hate to cross post like that. Is there any way that this one can be moved?

I use word to make a checklist. Go here to find out how: http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/wo...624511033.aspx The instructions are for the windows version, but should work for the mac version as well. If you don't have Word, I'm not sure what to do.....

Why not download an app specifically for grocery listing?

I suggested this type of solution, but the only problem is that we never really know who is going to the store and when, so those types of apps are not completely helpful.

The only solution that i can think of is to keep a copy of a list on the network storage, and then have an applescript that pulls a copy of that file onto my website somehow.

Just off the top of my head, I would think that you should publish a calendar. Then everybody can subscribe to it. Then in notes or something on that calendar you have your list. Then you could all have a synced calendar and list. I don't know if it is doable but I would look into that...

You can use Google Docs. Create a document with the list of groceries needed. Then access it via safari web browser on the iPhone.

This is probably a better solution than subscribing to mobilME for 90+ dollars a month. >_<"

I think it's per year, and I'm already paying 110 to keep my website up and that is without all of the features and integration of MobileMe... I might switch, lol.

Yeah I would say google docs also, or even use something like Remember The Milk: Online to do list and task management which has a free account, and even a full account is only $25/year. They have an iPhone app also

There are a couple of those types of apps I've seen where the list can be kept online and then anyone (who knows the credentials) can get at it.
