Airport Express, doesn't get any easier. I use one for my stereo, and we just set one up for my Mom, and got a special remote that plugs into the express, so the music can be controlled from the computer, or where its playing.

The Airport Extreme that is in your iMac is basically a wireless card. The Base Station is a wireless router. It sends the signals out from your modem to your iMac and the Airport Express. The Express is a range extender, lets you play your music in a different room through your network, and you can attach a printer or hard drive for network usage.
