Remote Desktop problems

Hello everyone,

I have Remote Desktop and need to connect to another computer over the internet, the other computer is connected to internet but through a router connected via ethernet. Now the router has an IP which is directly connected to the web but the computer has an internal IP. I try to type in the routers IP and the username and password for the computer I want to control but it says that my username and password are incorrect.

I would be extremely glad if somebody could shed light on this.

Regards

You need to get the router to forward the remote desktop connection to the internal machine. Your router should have a configuration setting allowing you to specify a port and IP address - put the port of hte remote desktop software in, and hte internal IP of the machine to connect to and try again.
