I bought 2 days ago a new Macbook Pro and connected it to my home network. my network consists of 1 desktop(HP) and 2 laptops(hp and Dell) and now the Mac. I setup the printer and everything seem to be ok, until I try to print. I get a pop up window asking me for the USER NAME and PASSWORD. The printer icon reads "Ready". What user name and password I'm supossed to use? the one for the MAC? I need to fix this problem, because it was a gift for my son and he needs to print his assignments on a daily basis. There is another window that says" authentication required". How this can be fixed? I'm not a computer expert, I get things done but need plain language. Thanks a million for your help on this matter.

What happens when you use the Username and Password for your Mac? It could be asking to install something? New drivers perhaps? Do the other computers print fine?
