I have a PC (win. 7), a macbook and macbook pro (both osx lion). I have added an internal hd to my pc in hopes that I can backup all three machines to it via wireless network. So far, I haven't been able to turn up any solutions as to how to make this happen.

Backing up the PC to this internal hd is no problem using windows backup utility but the macbooks do not list my pc's hd within time machine.

Does anyone have experience with this sort of networking?

Even if it were possible it would not be a good idea if the PC fails to boot or is not turned on or any error there goes the ability to back up.

Agree! The hd is a means to another end for secure backup, but it sounds like you're saying it is not possible.

Any creative work-arounds? Will the Airport offer me anything?
