I found this tutorial, and after a few days of trying to get networked it happened in a matter of minutes. If a mod or somebody thinks this is good enough maybe they can sticky it so everybody with questions can take a look:
It says sharing between Windows XP and Mac OSX 10.3, but I am using Tiger and it worked just the same.

Nice one, Just got my Airport Express today and getting a wireless NIC for my dads laptop tomorrow so I'll be setting up a network tomorrow. Thanks for posting.
