Hi, I'm have a 24" imac connected to the internet using a wired connection. This is the family mac with all our pics, vids, music on etc. I am thinking of buying an older mac mini to put in my livingroom to use a kind of entertainment centre. My question is...Will i be able to access my imac in the next room through the mac mini and view my photos, vids and listen to music through it using the hardware already installed in the imac and mac mini? Hopefully i can. I kind of think i should be able to but if someone knows that you definitely can I will go ahead. Thanks. Craig

Yes, but I would recommend an AppleTV instead of a Mini. It can be used to display your photos, play music and videos from your iTunes library and a lot more.

Also, although you can use your iMac as a wireless access point, I wouldn't recommend it. For less than $50, you should be able to pick up a wireless router that will make life much less complicated in the long run, and as an added benefit, you'll get an extra layer of security.
