Hi All,

Amazon is offering Netgear MR814 802.11b Wireless 4-Port Cable/DSL Router for $7 ($37 - $30 MIR).

How is this product ? Any experience? I have a new iBook .

well, i have heard Netgear products sometimes do not "talk" with the Airport Extreame Card, hopfully someone else will chime in. I was talking to some guy at Best Buy (not an employee!) and he told me to stick with Linksys products for wireless networking. When I told him i had an iBook he told me to definitly buy a Linksys or buy Apple's outrageously priced wireless base stations.

My friend has a Linksys B also and works good. We both get the occasional "Safari Can't find Network" but we think its Safari NOT the Linksys. If you are just sharing DSL/Cable then B is fine. IF you are doing file sharing between computers get G. I think B is being phased out anyway in favor of the G but I still see Wally World has the Linksys B on sale for $40 and reg. price is $50.
