Hi Guys,

I'd like to set-up a computer-computer network so I can view the files of my mac on my XP laptop downstairs without physically transferring them on USB pen.

The set-up I've currently got is iMac Intel Core Duo running Tiger (latest updates) and a Toshiba laptop running Windows XP Pro. They both use my WiFi to connect to the internet. I've got a pretty up-to-date Linksys router with security enabled.

So how do I go about doing this?

Thanks in anticipation,

Matthew

you need to turn on file sharing on your mac under preferences then you should be able to find it on the network from your pc....it is a little clunky perhaps there is a better way but i haven't come across it.....it is much easier to connect to the the windows machine from the mac because you can access the entire machine remotely so you could always just use your imac to transfer the files wirelessly and then use the laptop and when done use the imac to transfer back....hope this helps a little...
