    Is not saving onto my desktop like usual, and don't know where it is saving them or even if it is.

    anyideas?

    Could you describe the process you are using to take the screenshot please?

    15" MBP '06 2.33 C2D 4GB 10.7; 13" MBA '11 1.8 i7 4GB 10.10; 21" iMac '13 2.9 i5 8GB 10.10; 5s & 5c
    Using the Ctrl key in that combo saves the screenshot to your clipboard so that you can paste it where you want.

    To save it to your desktop, use only Apple, Shift, and 3 (or 4)

    RAM's fine 2GB and it works fine.

    Might just re-install OS X and have a completely new hard drive etc
