How to delete Faces in Photo?

I am trying to learn the use of Photos in Yosemite. I am familiar with iPhoto and iMovie for my IMac, Mountain Lion. I must say, that I am having a rough time with the learning curve. I can't seem to do anything on Photos as I once did on IPhoto! Very frustrating. I am trying to learn this new system, so as to be a help with questions from family members from time to time. Good luck with that. Is there some tutorial i can access that can take me step by step in a process of learning the fundamentals of Photos and then IMovie for Yosemite? I am just floundering around on these applications trying to find my way and it is just frustrating. For instance, I have been trying to rid the "Faces" album in Photos and I am wondering if it is doable? I ask myself, "Is this really worth the trouble?" I could use some help in finding a tutorial for dummies. Thanks.

No, you can't get rid of "Faces" because its not an album -- its an alternative view of your existing photos, just like albums or years etc. You don't have to use it, so if you don't want it just ignore it (I find it to be an incredibly fast way to find a specific picture with a person in it!).

Photos and iPhoto are so similar I'm starting to wonder why they even bothered renaming it. It's essentially the same program with some rearranged furniture, better editing controls, and more potential. The help file for Photos should put you on the path, but really it's not very different from iPhoto. If there's something specific you want to do, just let me know and I'll see if I can answer the question. I'm still mostly using iPhoto but I'm playing with Photos because iPhoto won't last forever, and so far there's exactly one feature I'm missing right now, called "round-tripping to an external photo editor." Everything else I ever did in iPhoto seems to still be there in Photos.

Okay, I can't rid myself of Faces but doesn't eat a lot of disc space? Especially if you don't use it? Anyway, there is no choice. What do you know about the new IMovie in Yosemite? The thing that I have noticed and which has happened is that my entire Photos ( Pics,Videos and Such ) has migrated to IMovie. Is this correct? Just seems like a lot of unnecessary pic's ( Albums, Faces ) that you may not want or need for a "Project." Especially, the Faces! Is there a way to select just certain pic's from Photos and then migrate those to IMovie ( 10.0.9 ). The IMovie version on my IMac is 9.0.9 and you just click on the "Little" camera logo and then select the group of pic's you want. Then "Drag" those to your project. I am comfortable with that. I am trying to use these "Newer" programs on my wife's MacBook Air and it has ( 4 GB ) limited disc space. And, this is a tool for me to learn the uses of Photos and the new version of IMovie. By my descriptions, you may have already guessed that I am sort of a novice in all of this. And, my limited knowledge may be dangerous. But, I do appreciate your willingness to answer my questions and your patience as well. Thanks Again!
