    Graphic Design Programs?
Hey guys and girls. I'm new to this forum and just got a MacBook Pro for Christmas. So I was wondering what is a good beginner program for beginning Graphics? Also, I was thinking about getting Aperture 3 and I just started photography this week too. Thank you!

I don't believe there is such a thing as beginning Graphic Design programs. It's always been Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, inDesign, Flash, DreamWeaver and maybe Fireworks.

GIMP - for Mac OS X This is a very toned down graphic design program.

Photoshop Elements is also a good paid program.

I use Photoshop Cs5 or Cs4. It's a little confusing in the beginning but after a while you will get used to it.

I'm confused by the OP's post. There's a big difference between "wanting to make some graphics" and the professional field of "graphic design," and subsequently it is far from clear what program(s) to recommend. If the OP could clarify more specifically what he/she wants to do maybe?

Also, buying Aperture when you are just starting Photography is like buying a tank before you have joined the military. Why not just stick with iPhoto and see if you get to the point where you outgrow it? iPhoto's already there and it will do the job just fine.
