I keep getting .SXD files from a "graphic designer" and cant seem to open them or get much info on them.

How do I open an .sdx file and is there any reason to use these? every other time (magazines, Advertisers, Calendars, Flyers.....) have always sent PDF's!

thaks for the help I sure need it!

    Thank you!

Is that the only program that uses sxd? is this a new or even valid format, should I learn more about sdx or is it not used much?

As far as I know, only Star Office and OO and use this format for drawing, possibly Neo Office.

It is not the current default of OO. .sxd was used in OO 1.0, maybe late 90's.

OO currently defaults to .odf or.odg (Open Document) for their drawing tool. This is an open standard. It's possible you've got someone using an old version of Star Office. They really should upgrade to the newest version of OO. You can find more here.
