Transfer from old imac OS 9 to new Imac OS X

Hi, I have an old Imac green (15 CRT all included) on OS 9 and I'd like to transfer all on a new Imac on OS X. Since I'm new to mac (the imac is coming from an aunt) and she bought a new Imac and needs my help.
When I bought my new macbook I connected it to my Imac (OS X) via firewaire and an assistant transfered everything for me. Is there something to do this for old mac?
