work windows programs on mac

hi everyone, is it possible to work windows programs in mac?
...........................................
searching though spotlight for windows program's than running them on mac?

please help.. thank you

To elaborate a little more. You can run Windows software providing that you have Windows XP SP 2 or higher using boot camp on any Mac with an Intel CPU. Alternatively you can also install Windows using a Virtual PC using Parallel or VMware Fusion.

but i mean without being in windows on mac...
like being in mac and running windows programmes on a mac in mac..
cause i already have bootcamp and windows on my MBP, but im just wondering if its possible to just spotlight the program from windows and just work it on mac.

Pure and simple....no.

Many programs such as MS Office etc come in both Windows and Mac versions.

but what if there's a program that only windows has and i wanted to work with it in mac?

A free alternative is VirtualBox, which does a nice job without you spending any money. Yes, it may not have all of the super-advanced features of Parallels or VMware, but it does do a pretty good job.
