Windows - x264 and Windows 7

Hello,

I'm thinking of installing Windows 7 on my Macbook Air 2.13 via bootcamp, when compatibility is added. I would like to know if it will use hardware acceleration to decode x264 mkv files. The GPU is nvidia 9400M.

Nope. The software/OS must support it. The GPU itself does have that capability but it's up to the software to use it. Windows 7 does have general GPU utilization but I believe it's still premature until DirectX 11.
