MacBook - Windows 7 - No Aero?

I have recently Installed a 32 bit version of windows 7 beta 7100 build onto my macbook via bootcamp, install was quick and went well but as i booted up into the desktop to see that i didnt have any of the aero effects. After doing most of the "force enable aero" hacks still to no prevale....

I was just wondering if it is a graphics driver problem or just the simple fact that in my case i cannot have aero running?

thanks, George.

What Mac are you using? Specs? Did you install the graphics drivers?

I am running Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit on my 13" MBP and I also don't have Aero working. Then again, I have not installed the bootcamp drivers from my Leopard Install DVD. Does this have anything to do with it? (I'm pretty sure it does)

I never really tried the beta of Windows 7 on my intel Mac, but Vista Ultimate, even on the very first 1.66Ghz Intel Mini with GMA 950 graphics, worked perfectly with Aero. Maybe it's the BETA you are running. I would say to try the RC version but since Windows 7 is in the stores I would bet you can no longer download the Release Client.

without the drivers installed it is unable to see your graphics card and intern can not run aero

I was also surprised about Windows Aero after I ran the Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor.

Windows 7 RC Aero worked perfectly on my Acer Aspire One netbook that uses the lowly Intel GMA950 integrated graphics just like the first Macbooks and Minis.

It has to be a driver issue unless they have changed things since the last RC just before the release.

Unfortunately, you can't d/l the RC anymore. I had deleted my Win7 VM a while back and wanted to create a new one but found out that you couldn't download it anymore.

I agree. It sounds like the graphics drivers aren't installed. Have you installed all the drivers yet?
