Question Switching Video Cards in Windows XP (through boot camp)

Hey everyone,

hopefully this is the right forum for this

anyways, i plan to utilize the more powerful graphics card on my new macbook pro (mid 2009) along with windows xp to play some games. my question is how, in windows xp, do i switch between the everyday user graphics card to the more powerful gaming graphics card so i can play more demanding games?

I believe if you select the more powerful graphics chipset while you're in OS X and then boot to XP, that will be what XP will use. You do not have the ability to switch while in XP - you must boot back to OS X in order to switch graphics chipsets.

In any event, you can always check to see what graphics chipset is being used in XP by opening the Device Manager and expanding the hardware tree.

Regards.
