Flash Not Responding

ok this is irritating everytime i try and install the adobe flash it freezes it can go on for days sayin 4 items to install but no difference is made why is this happening

It might be due to having an updating widget active or any auto updating background on your Desktop. Do you close all open browsers (if you have more than one, that is) before the installation?

nah i have everything closed. iv been tryin to do it for 2 days now and i left it on most of the mornin tryin to install and it was still in the same place...this has always happend when ive tried installing flash ive tried to find ways around it by cleaning up the desk and all sorts but nothing works...
