You will want a program that can make interleaved GIF files, which is the normal approach. The only program I know that is free that has this capability is GIMP. There is a Mac OS X version of GIMP, so this could work for you.

GIMP does require you to also install Apple X11 by the way. Apple X11 is available on your OS X install DVDs.

Does anyone out there know of other animated GIF builders?

My Macs: iMac 27" 3.4 GHz, Mac Pro 3.2 GHz, PowerMac G5 Quad 2.5 GHz, G4 Cube with 1.2 GHz Upgrade

My OS': Mac OS X Lion, Mac OS X Snow Leopard, Mac OS X Tiger, Mac OS 9.2.2, openSUSE 10.3
