Strange Characters instead of ..

My site is in Norweigan, so when I write with letters such as

and upload it via FTP, it ends up in strange characters like 3/4 and upside down question marks:S
Ive asked this before, but anyone know how to fix it?
I would greeeeeaatly appreciate som help

First of all, are you writing your characters using the HTML entities? For a rundown on the HTML entities, check this out.

Or maybe you can use this converter.

Mac Specs: MacBook Pro 2.6 GHz Core 2 Duo 4GB RAM OS 10.5.2

Murlyn is offline
You could also save the file as utf-8 unicode and then make sure in your html declaration char set make sure it says utf-8 and that would work also
