Great Template Gone Bad

I switched out my template, and it looks great on my MAC Safari Version 2.0.4 (419.3), but visitors are telling me that black space appears at the top, and they must scroll down to see the content. When I use Firefox, the header disappears.

The designer of this great template doesn't seem to answer anybody.
