    FTP Help Please
I'm trying to setup a FTP server for my friends to share. Could I get some of you to test it out. I'm having some trouble logging in. I'm also open to suggestions.

Are you sure your host allows FTP servers? They may be blocking ports.

Do you mean my ISP? I'm not sure, I don't think so.

I was able to login. As my FTP client said that it was bringing up the directory listing, the server timed out and disconnected me.

I had the same problem till I disabled Passive mode. On the FTP Client, just disable Passive Mode or Transfers. I can get in and see the movie file.

I uploaded a text file there with your handle just to show you I got in.

Here is a pic of Transmit. Make sure Passive is unchecked.

OK, I tried the above-mentioned technique, and I got in. Using Cyberduck, I changed the mode from Passive to Active and uploaded an image file.
