I have recently made some changes to a webpage. I created a local folder on my desktop and viewed the changes on the html file. They looked fine. When I uploaded it to the server, the layout changed, elements went missing and the page was a mess. How can this happen when the local folder is fine?

Please advise (I have reverted back to the previous page before the changes and uploaded that for the time being.

Access the developer tools in safari chrome or firefox to see what web assets are failing to load when you update the page.

It maybe that the page is missing a vital CSS file
